Who thinks the Orlando are is nicer than the Tampa area?

Why do you think so? I’m considering between the two cities to move. Please give reasons why.

I agree 100%. I live in Orlando and am currently going to the University of South Florida in Tampa. As much as I love the university which is one of the best (if not the best) in Florida, I have to say that I can’t wait to graduate because Tampa is such a dirty/poor/filfty city. I personally prefer to live inland because that gives a sense of community. I to this day cannot find any good areas of Tampa. Also, for those who identify a good area of Tampa need to go to good areas of Orlando such as Celebration and Hunter’s Creek before they can speak.

All of your points, 1 through 8, are ABSOLUTELY and unequivically correct!

1) Due to the industry, Orlando is far-better maintained than Tampa is or will ever be. Think about it, Yes toursist and others alike come down to Orlando for Disney/Universal/Sea World etc. but would the people still come down if the city/streets/areas were all dirty and not as nice-looking ast they are?NO!

2)Tampa has the WORST AREAS PERIOD! The government should close all those horrible areas. I know where your talking about, suitcase city, it’s given its name because of the large amounts of evictions that happen there.

3) I couldn’t agree more. C’mon people. Your going to be raising your children where you decide to settle-down and live. Do you really want to raise children in a city plagued by strip clubs, pornigraphy (Nebraska ave.) and sex-driven criminals?

4)When people think of Florida they envision the beautiful palm trees and other aspects of the environment that brand it “Florida”. Look at that DUMP TAMPA, the environment there is condemed and run-down buildings with liquor stores and strip clubs all-over. Where are the parks? Where are the Palm Trees. This is suppossed to be Florida, yet it looks like Kansas or Kentucky (the poor areas of those states)!

5) Absolutely, as Tampa may have some nice areas, thee areas don’t compare to Orlando’s affluent communities. If those from Tampa came to Orlando, they would dream of living in those areas you listed where everyone drives Mercedes, Lexus’s, BMW’s,etc. and drinks Latte’s and shops at places like Saks Fifth Avenue, Gucci, Fendi, etc.

6) With all the palm trees and the facts that Orlando communities are more spread out which allows more trees throughout, gives a better looking city.

7) True because everyone looks like they are on welfare,etc. Look at the cars, they are all beat-up. Look at everyone’s clothes, they look like second-hand filfth.

Too many ghetto people. At least the Orlando urban clubs are condensed to like Universal Citywalk, Downtown Disney, Downtown Orlando and Colonial Drive. the ones in Tampa run rampad throghout that forsaken city and all the ghetto people are proud of it.

All the people say ” Tampa God-D**n Bay”…this says alot;just look at the people saying it and youll know what I mean.

As accurate, correct, and truthfully genuine your list of 8 is…I would like to add-on:

9) Tampa has the worst health. You will find a majority of the people’s teeth are yellow, people look like drug addics, they smell, etc…People are always walking around Tampa streets as if they escaped (or need to be in) some mental hospital.

10) The Tampa Police and Hillsborough County Sheriff’s seemed more obsessed with policing the people and they treat them like crap. Look at thow they treat them like cattle on a night in Ybor.

Orlando Law Enforcement is more for protecting and serving the community.

11) Crime is horrible. There are so many aras of Tampa that you can NEVER go out to at night, especially alone. I know so many people that have been robbed,etc. even during the day.
