Do either of you know about Sarasota?

I lived in the Tampa bay area for several years and now I’m thinking of moving back to Florida and make Sarasota my home.I’ve been to Sarasota before,but I’d like to know more about it.the job market,the apts rental and the cost of living.I love the sun,the beaches and the hot climate in general.

I live in Sarasota and I love it here. Housing is expensive, but lately it’s gotten much more affordable and apartments are even cheaper. It’s not all that much different from where you live, just a little slower and smaller. Sarasota is big too, so it really depends on what part you go to.

There are lots of professional jobs, but construction has dried up a lot so more of the labor type jobs are hard to come by. Medical is a big field too.

Our population does swell in the winter months with the snowbirds probably a little more than you are used to. They can be annoying due to the increased traffic, but otherwise you hardly notice unless you like to go out to dinner for early bird specials, lol.

The beaches are the best! Esp Siesta Key, although living there is cost prohibitive for most of us, lol.
