Is Seattle really worth moving to?
I am a 25 year old woman with no kids or husband, who has a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. I am trying to decide to which state I wish to move to (I am tired of living at home with my parents,lol) and Seattle is among the top of my list (Boston, Seattle, New York, Tampa, Maine, Vermont, etc…). How are things like there? Are there good libraries, museums, malls, parks, restaurants, bars, etc..? How are the guys? I’m sorry, my main idea of Seattle is based on what I’ve seen in Grey’s Anatomy, lol (and I’m pretty sure that’s not filmed entirely in Seattle…)
By the way, how’s the climate? I’m actually one of those weird people who love cloudy and rainy days…
I know what you mean User! I myself live in the East Coast, but I relish the opportunity of moving to the West Coast!!!
Seattle has pretty much all the things you indicate that you are looking for: excellent museums, parks, restaurants, malls, night life, etc. Also lots of outdoor opportunities, rain or shine.
While there are plenty of cloudy, rainy days to be experienced, don’t count on ALL of them being this way! There will be sunny and beautiful days to break up the boredom, and it sounds like you’ll do fine either way.
And unlike what one of the other posters indicated, Seattle has a reputation for being one of the cleanest big cities in the US.
You sound like a Seattleite at heart.
